Magma achieves OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation
Magma has added OHSAS 18001:2007 to its ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
OHSAS 18001, the internationally recognised accreditation for occupational health and safety management systems, assesses occupational health and safety management, emergency preparedness and response, awareness, competence and on-going training and improvement.
Magma was assessed over a period of 12 months and accreditation was gained following a number of audits by BSI, who assessed the company’s health and safety procedures.
Martyn Gannon, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager at Magma, explained: “We’ve worked hard over the past 12 months to develop and install a health and safety management system, so we are delighted to have achieved this recognition.”
Magma’s latest accreditation demonstrates its commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace and reinforces the importance of adhering to the highest standards for safe and healthy workplace conditions for both employees and visitors.
