Research & Development
Magma Catalyst’s research & development team works to continuously provide contract manufacturing / toll processing developmental support solutions to meet the increasingly complex challenges faced by catalyst suppliers working within the refining and petrochemical industries.
Magma understands that customers require the highest priority with regards to research and development. We have recently improved our research & development facilities with the addition of pilot/lab scale reactors specifically designed for the testing and buy ativan spain development of catalysts. By utilising Magma’s pilot plants, the properties of the catalyst can be assessed under realistic operating conditions. This, combined with manufacturing facilities, strategically located in the UK and Brazil, enables us to provide customers with a flexible, adaptable and increasingly geographically significant approach to ensure their requirements are met.
In addition to our steam reforming/DRI activity performance rig, activity performance rig for other catalysts and our DRI/catalyst test rig, we have a range of analytical equipment to assist in our ongoing product development.
Magma undertakes an active research & development (R&D) programme, which runs in conjunction with our Quality Assurance activities.
Magma continuously seeks improved, and where possible, more cost effective raw materials. All potential new raw materials are tested for physical and chemical attributes before being trialled on a laboratory scale as part of the appropriate batch composition. Providing laboratory trials prove to be successful, larger scale works trials are undertaken. Besides possessing acceptable technical requirements, the materials must also be sourced from quality assured suppliers who can demonstrate and prove their reliability in terms of availability, on time delivery and consistently high quality.
The other main avenue in terms of R&D is the development of new and innovative products. For this to be effective, close communication links are encouraged and established with customers to enable a strong understanding of the customers’ current and future requirements. This often encompasses product design and customer process developments in addition to product composition. Ready access to a wide range of refractory raw materials means that Magma’s already extensive product portfolio is constantly growing in order to meet new challenges as customer requirements change posed by their business demands.
